SJÖBLOM is led by Johan SE, co-founder and one of the two lead singers of the post punk band THE EXPLODING BOY. Since 2006 the swedish quartet has released five longplayers and gained reputation by several clubhits, tour and festival appearances.

In 2016 the Stockholm artist established his solo project by releasing the debut „6“ and the lead single „Oh My Heart“ via Manic Depression Records. The catchy as well as atmospheric mixture of post punk, wave and indie was praised by critics and fans alike.

Now SJÖBLOM is back with the stunning EP „A Victory Of Love“. The title track is a cover of the ALPHAVILLE classic which was the opener of their hit album „Forever Young“ back in 1984. SJÖBLOM transforms the electronic style of the original version in his own sound cosmos full of passion and strength. The song was recorded in the Joniverse Studios with producer Jon Bordon (Nicole Sabouné, Agent Side Grinder) and Drummer Richard Ankers (IAMX, Melody Club, Strip Music).

In addition to the second fresh track „Seconds“ the EP comes up with four brand new interpretations of songs which were released on „6“. The remixes by the italian cold wave band ASH CODE, the belgian electro duo VIVE LA FÊTE and the german post punk group LUC STARGAZER bring in individual elements and influences.
